On December 18, an event took place at the Copernicus Science Centre in Warsaw, gathering Event industry Organizers. Our Hilton Garden Inn Kraków Airport was represented by Aneta Dyda - Business Development Manager and Michał Popek - Senior Marketing Specialist.
This year's meeting, besides truly ambitious projects that took place last year or are planned for the future, was dominated by essentially two topics - the carbon footprint of meetings and AI in events.
🔸 Dominik Górka - CEO Live Age, cited a very interesting Scandinavian saying "He who buys what he doesn't need steals from himself" 100% agree! Soon all companies will have an obligation to report but we should already begin to estimate the carbon footprint left not only by very large organizations but also by standard smaller meetings. Here, ESGMarta A. Seweryn from the Carbon Footprint Foundation had a great presentation on this topic. 👏
🔸 Meanwhile, the second presentation that sticks in the memory was served by Łukasz Gumowski, who made a bold, but I believe very valid thesis - "AI in events is not a trend, it's a technology pretending to be a trend" Exactly - a technology that can support us, can act very creatively if we learn to use it appropriately.
This year we also participated in the MPImpact Awards competition, where we submitted the first edition of MICE Connect Meetup Kraków. In our category, Gdańsk Convention Bureau won - congratulations to Łukasz Wysocki for your project 👏
A great event led by Robert Jarek, and as always, insightful questions were provided by Magdalena Kondas - Editor-in-Chief of MeetingPlanner.pl It was truly an inspiring meeting, let there be more such gatherings in the broad event and hotel community!
